    2017 Learn to Skate

What would our communities look like without the volunteers? A special thanks to Paris and Liz for their enthusiasm running the 2017 Learn to Skate Program, to Ken and Lloyd for their dedication in working the ice, and of course  to Youth Central a favoured partner without who we couldn't have such fantastic programs :)

    2017 RKHCA Halloween Party:

This Halloween we partnered with Killarney to put on the biggest, spookiest and yes, candiest party ever!!!! Families came from both communities in fantastic costumes to party Halloween style. There were games, science slime experiments, crafts; and of course, lots and lots of popcorn to go with our afternoon movie "the Nightmare before Christmas".

Prizes and snacks aplenty were provided by the generous donations of community businesses: Calgary Co-op Richmond Road, Model Land, Alexander Calhoun Calgary Public Library and Safeway Garrison Woods...THANK YOU for you support!!!!

A HUGE shout out to the Killarney team: Lisa, Jen, Jill and Todd; your contributions (and popcorn popping prowess) made this one of the best parties ever!!!!

Thanks to Ken (who knows just about everything hall and shack related) and his fabulous kitty!

And of course, thanks to our spooktacular scientists; Violet and Amber, who kept everyone "oohing" and "aahing" at their gross but enthralling experiments!!!!

    Scare you next year!!!!!

Rae Altwater: Richmond Knob Hill’s favorite Snow Angel !

In January last year, RKHCA called on all snow angels (or anyone that knew of one). The idea was to donate the used snow blower that is no longer needed for clearing the rink to a true angel and a fantastic neighbour.

Rae, your neighbours wake up the you shoveling their walk and 5 car parking pad in the winter.  You also help them and manage all the snow removal on their corner.  You help friends while they are out of town on holidays…

You are truly an angel - a snow angel.

Thanks for being part of our community !

Yesterday we blew up 450 soccer balls and organized the soccer equipment for 16 teams / 225 children in just a little over an hour ! Thanks to all that volunteered in response to Cathy's email, thanks to Cathy and Ken. I was happy to meet with 15 neighbours that have kids in the same range as mine... I am so thrilled our kids will be able to have a fun Timbits soccer season this year again ...
