October 01, 2017 - Kim Stainsby

Hi Everyone!

It is now October and there is a nip in the air. We change from outside to inside activities in general.

The gardens are being/have been put away for the winter after a good season. Thanks to the hard work of Liz Lunney and her dedi- cated group of volunteers, we were able to give lots of locally grown produce to the Food Bank again this year.

We now look forward to starting up the winter programs and having great ice for the Com- munity at our rinks. If you drive past in the evening, you may see Lloyd out working his magic. The picture reminds me of my youth when this was an everyday scene instead of a lost art.

We will also be holding a casino in 2018 to raise funds for our Community Association. When you receive a request from our Casino Chair- man to volunteer some time, please say “Yes”.

Visit our website for the latest action in the Hall. There even could be Halloween news.

See you next month
